Privacy
Friendlai is operated by Digital Fluency LLC. Using it is also covered by the Terms of Service.
Prompts are processed by computers run by the community. When you send a message, it and the rest of the conversation are sent to a node run by a Friendlai provider, which generates the reply. Don't send passwords, secrets, or personal information you wouldn't want someone else to see.
We store your prompts and the replies so you can come back to them, along with which node handled each one and how many tokens it used. We keep them until you delete the conversation.
If you use Friendlai without signing in, we don't know who you are: your browser keeps a random session token. If you sign in with Google, we store your Google account ID, name and email address to run your account.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, and what browser and device they use. It sets cookies and sends that information to Google. It doesn't receive your conversations (though a shared result page's title, the start of its prompt, is recorded with the visit), and we don't send it your name or email address. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland it's off unless you accept it; change your choice with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page. Anywhere, you can opt out with an ad or tracking blocker, or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Result pages you open from a link (/r/… and /m/…) can be seen by anyone with that link. Chat conversations are only visible to you.
